Parents and Guardians at School!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Administration of the European School of Education, in collaboration with KESAN – the Center for Addiction Prevention and Promotion of Psychosocial Health of Heraklion, Crete – and with E.O.P.A.E. (National Organization for the Prevention and Treatment of Addictions), is organizing a workshop for parents and guardians of adolescent students, aiming to strengthen the parental role.
The workshop aims to contribute to the creation of a safe and constructive space for communication, supportive of your role and relationship with your children, as well as to foster shared understanding on critical issues that both school and family are called upon to address. We warmly invite you to participate.
Indicative thematic areas:

Methodology:
Adult education techniques: group work and plenary discussion.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their concerns, reflect collectively on the issues that concern them, and receive guidance based on contemporary scientific data.

Target group:
Interested parents and guardians of primary and secondary school students aged 11 and above, from Greek-speaking and English-speaking sections, with sufficient knowledge of the Greek language (P4–S7).
The working language will be Greek. However, questions and answers may also be addressed in English when this facilitates the participation of parents and guardians from the English-speaking section.

Schedule
The workshop will include five (5) sessions, with the possibility of extension. Each session will last 90 minutes and will take place every second Tuesday from January 27 to March 24, 2026, from 18:00 to 19:30.

Useful information
The attendance of all interested parents and guardians throughout the entire cycle of meetings is considered important. During the first session, participants will have the opportunity to get to know each other, record their expectations and needs, and agree on the working process of the group.
